Minimum Rental Days
Pick up and drop off days are counted as one rental day -only if 24 hour hasn't passed yet.
Minimum 7 days is required at all seasons.
Reservations / Payments
Reservations of motorhomes must be confirmed by the rental company in writing and they are exclusively binding for vehicle groups, not for vehicle types.
All charges will be made in EURO. Exchange rates according: www.oanda.com
Down payment 30% of the rental rate (minimum 400 Euro) is taken via client's credit card Visa or Master card after booking is confirmed.
The rest of the payment is due and payable 55 days prior to pick up day.
For reservation made 45 days or less prior to pick up day, a full payment is due upon reservation.
55 days or more prior to pick up - 30% of total amount, with a minimum of 400 Euro
54 -20 days prior to pick up: 50% of total amount,
19 - 5 days before pick up: 80% of total amount,
Less than 5 days before pick up / Non show: 100% of total amount.
In any case of cancellation, a handling fee of 50 Euro will be charged, in addition to the cancellation fee.
A cancellation of a booking MUST be made by the client in writing by e-mail or by fax and received at our office during operation hours
Amendments - Reservation changes
Any modification of a confirmed reservation is subject to a 50 Euro amendment fee.
Plus - The following changes will result in a re-calculation of daily rate. The rate will be calculated using the most current flex rate and compared to the original flex rate; according to the higher rate:

Cancellation and rebooking
If a rental is moved or shortened by 3 or more days, we reserve the right to cancel the original booking and cancellation fees may apply.
Minimum age / Authorized drivers / Driving License
The Hirer and any other driver must be at least 21 years old.
For vehicles above 3,5 tons Premium models and for the Family Luxury the minimum age is 25 years.
* The Hirer and any other drivers must have been in possession of a Class III / Class B or comparable national driving license for at least one year, and for vehicles above 3,5 tons not less than 3 years corresponding to the weight of the vehicle.
* Please note that some of the Rental Firm‘s vehicles have a total weight of more than 3.5 tones and that to drive these vehicles an appropriate driving license is required.
Those in possession of a Class B driving license must consult the Rental Firm about the engine size and the technically permissible total weight of the vehicle rented. If, upon renting, a respective driving license cannot be presented, the motorhome shall be regarded as not collected. In such case, there shall apply the respective terms of cancellation.
The vehicle may only be driven by the Hirer and the drivers named at the time of hiring.
The Hirer is under an obligation to record the names and addresses of all drivers to whom he entrusts the vehicle, for however short a time, and supply this information to the Rental Firm on request.
The Hirer bears the same responsibility for the actions of any driver to whom he supplies the vehicle as for his own.
A security deposit of 2800 EUR must be paid on pickup day by a credit card only (Master- Card, Visa). Prepaid Credit Cards or cash are not accepted.
The security deposit is refunded if the vehicle is returned clean inside, with emptied toilet tank and with no damage. Any extra costs incurred are deducted against the security deposit when the vehicle is returned.
Note - The security deposit is refunded to the credit card account up to 14 days after drop off.
Note: The booking will be made on the name of the main driver who also must be the holder of the credit card for the deposit at pick up.
Fuel and Propane Gas
Fuel and operating costs are to be borne by the renter.
The vehicles are handed with full fuel tank and must be returned with full fuel tank, otherwise there will be a charge of the diesel costs 2.75 EUR per liter and an extra labor cost.
The vehicles are handed with 2 gas bottles (one full and used). Client must return one full propane gas bottle. Otherwise, a fee of 55 EUR will be charged.
Pick-Up And Drop Off
Pick up and drop off are possible only in the rental depot.
Pick up and drop off times as shown in the rental contract are binding.

Arrival Day - First Night at a Hotel
Clients who arrive by international flights are not allowed to drive a motorhome on flight arrival day. The client must overnight in a motel/hotel.
Getting to the Rental Depot / Transfers
Arrival to/from the rental center are at the client's expense.
The rental company offers transfer service between Keflavik airport and the rentals station at 50 Euro per direction, on the day of vehicle pick up and on the day of vehicle drop off.
Customer must supply full flights details and cell phone number at the time of the booking.
On-Line Check In please note you must do Online Check In (Speed-pass) and call the rental location at least 3 working days prior your Pick-Up to arrange a suitable time for the vehicle Pick-Up or the transfer (if booked).
Pick-Up And Drop Off
Pick Up: 7 days a week between 10:00 AM-17:00 PM
Drop Off: 7 days a week between 09:00 AM-14:00 PM
Pick up procedure
95 EUR apply to each pick up and/or Drop off on Saturday or Sunday
Late Pick up / Late drop off - Between 17:00 PM-19:00 PM - is possible on request and with additional charge of 160 EUR for every pick up and drop off. This must be requested at the time of the booking.
No pick ups or drop offs on Holidays.
Pick up and drop off times as shown in the rental contract are binding.
The days of collection and return will be charged together as a single day, as long as a total of 24 hours is either not exceeded or only exceeded due to the fault of the Rental Firm. The client will be charged 45 Euro per each hour of late.
The renter is obliged to participate in a comprehensive vehicle instructions tour at the rental station. Any resulting delays of receipt and costs are at the expense of the renter. If handover is delayed due to the fault of the Hirer, he must bear any costs incurred as a result.
On that occasion, there is drawn up a detailed report (check out) of delivery describing the condition of the vehicle that is to be signed by both parties. The Rental Firm is entitled to refuse to hand over the vehicle until this introduction has taken place.
Drop Off procedure
The Vehicle must return clean on the inside & with emptied toilet tank, Otherwise the client will be charged for the cleaning costs of 220 EUR and 180 EUR for dumping the toilet.
One gas bottle must be returned full, otherwise client will be charged with 55 EUR.
The return of the vehicle is confirmed by the signature of the officer of the rental station on the return report. Without that signature, all damage to the vehicle is to be borne by the renter, especially if the vehicle is left at the station outside the business hours.
The client will be charged of 45 EUR for every extra hour or part of an hour (and maximum daily rate for every day late) of being late, and also for all other losses caused by the delay.
An extension of the agreed rental period is only possible after the Rental Firm has given its respective approval. If the rental form has not given its approval, the Hirer must pay, for every day or part of a day that the vehicle is returned late, a contractual penalty according to the respective weekly rate.
This shall not apply in case the Hirer can prove that the rental period was exceeded due to a technical defect of the vehicle and that the Hirer notified the Rental Firm of that defect immediately after it had occurred.
NOTE: There will be no refund for early return or unused items.
* Before signing the contract please check the vehicle from the inside and outside and make sure there are no damages or broken parts. If there is some damage, have it noted to the rental agent in writing.
* Make sure you have all the items you paid for, and that nothing is missing.
* Before the departure make sure you know how to operate all the motorhome systems, mechanicals and electrical: refrigerator, heating, air condition, water etc. If it's not clear, you may ask for explanations.
* Please ask for a map or directions to nearby campground and supermarkets for you to stock up on food and bottled water.
In accordance with the principles of a comprehensive motor insurance, the rental firm
will indemnify the renter from liability subject to an excess of 2800 Euro to be borne by the renter in case of damage subject to full comprehensive motor insurance per case of damage. The respective excess cannot be excluded.
The indemnity against liability described in Subsection 12.1 will not apply if the Hirer causes a loss/damage deliberately or by gross negligence..
If the Hirer causes loss/damage culpably, he will additionally be liable in the following
* if loss/damage was caused by impaired ability to drive due to drugs or alcohol
* if the Hirer or a driver to whom the Hirer has supplied the vehicle leaves the site of an accident without justification
* if the Hirer fails to call the police to an accident, contrary to the obligation imposed by Section 8, unless this breach of obligation does not affect either the establishment of the cause of the loss/damage or of its amount
* if the Hirer breaches any other obligations imposed by Section 8, unless this breach of obligation does not affect either the establishment of the cause of the loss/damage or of its amount
* if loss/damage is due to usage prohibited by Subsection 7.1
* if loss/damage is due to a breach of an obligation imposed by Subsection 7.2
* if loss/damage is caused by an unauthorized driver to whom the Hirer has supplied the vehicle
* if loss/damage is due to a failure to take account of the vehicle‘s dimensions (if shown on the country signs).
* if loss/damage is due to a failure to comply with load regulations
To avoid increasing costs due to expenses incurred to establish the amount of the damage suffered, the Rental Firm will in the event of accident damage initially supply the Hirer on request with sample invoices for the type of case concerned.
The Hirer is liable for all fees, charges, fines and penalties imposed upon the Rental Firm in connection with the use of the vehicle, unless these are incurred due to the fault of the Rental Firm. The rental firm reserves the right to deduct the fees, charges, fines and penalties from the clients credit card. Additional handling charges are subject to the displayed pricing lists at the rental stations.
More than one Hirer will be generally and severally liable.
Prohibited use, duty of care
The Hirer is prohibited from using the vehicle as follows: to participate in motor sport
events and vehicle tests, to transport easily inflammable, poisonous or otherwise dangerous substances, to commit Customs or other criminal offences, even if these are only punishable according to the law applicable in the place where the offence was committed, for rental to a third party or for the commercial transport of passengers or for any other use going beyond that agreed by contract, in particular driving on terrain not intended for the purpose.
The vehicle must be treated carefully and appropriately and properly locked on all occasions.
The regulations and technical rules applicable to its use must be complied with. Its
running condition, in particular oil and water levels and tire pressure, must be monitored.
The Hirer undertakes to check regularly to make sure that the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition.

What to do in the event of an accidents
After an accident, theft or damage by fire or collision with a wild animal, the police must be informed immediately and also the Rental Firm via the Service Hotline +49(0)7562/987850 (In Germany) or the rental station (for Telephone Number see rental contract), at the latest immediately after the working day following the day of the accident/incident. It is not permitted to accept any third-party claims as valid.
Even in the case of very slight damage, the Hirer must prepare a detailed written report for the Rental Firm, including a sketch. If, for whatever reason, the renter fails to draw up such report and if, because of that, the insurance company refuses to pay the damage, the renter shall be obliged to pay full compensation for the damage.
The accident report must in particular include the names and addresses of anyone involved and any witnesses, together with the licence numbers of all vehicles involved and has to be over handed filled out and signed by drop off latest towards Rental Firm.
Journeys abroad are not permitted.
Defects in the motorhome
Any claims to compensation by the Hirer on the basis of defects for which the Rental Firm is not responsible are hereby excluded.
Any defects in the motorhome or its fittings/equipment which are discovered after the commencement of the hire must be reported to the Rental Firm in writing by the Hirer by returning of vehicle. Claims for damages based on subsequently notified defects shall be excluded unless the claim is based on a defect which is not patent.
Repairs which are necessary in order to maintain the vehicle in a good working and
roadworthy condition during the rental period cannot be ordered by the Hirer without the consent of the Rental Firm.The Rental Firm will bear repair costs on production of the original invoices and the parts replaced, as long as the Hirer is not liable for the damage pursuant to Section 12 below. This does not apply to tire damage.
If a defect for which the Rental Firm is responsible makes such a repair necessary, and if the Hirer does not rectify the defect on his own initiative, the Hirer must notify the Rental Firm of the defect immediately and set a reasonable deadline for its repair. Any circumstances specific to a particular country (e.g. infrastructure) which delay the repair must be taken into account here to avoid disadvantage to the Rental Firm.
If the motorhome is destroyed without any fault on the part of the Hirer or if it appears
likely that its use will be prevented or withdrawn for an unreasonably long time, the Rental Firm will be entitled to supply the Hirer with an equivalent substitute vehicle within a reasonable period. If in such a case the Rental Firm offers a motorhome from a lower price class and this is acceptedby the Hirer, the Rental Firm will reimburse to the Hirer the difference between this and the price already paid in advance by the Hirer. 11.4 If the motorhome is destroyed due to the renter‘s fault or if it is foreseeable that its use will be prevented or made impossible for an unreasonably long period due to the renter‘s fault, the rental firm may refuse to make a replacement vehicle available.
Rental Firm‘s liability, expiry by limitation
The Rental Firm bears unlimited liability for deliberate action and gross negligence. In the case of simple negligence the Rental Firm is only liable for foreseeable loss/damage typical of the type of contract concerned where there is a breach of an obligation the meeting of which is of particular importance for the achievement of the purpose of the contract (cardinal obligation). This standard of liability also applies in cases of obstacles to performance at the time of the conclusion of the contract.
The above limitations and exclusions of liability do not apply to claims under the terms of the German Product Liability Act or to claims based on injury to life, limb or health or infringements of liberty.
Claims which are not excluded according to paragraph 13.1 but were only limited in scope shall become statute-barred within a year of the end of the year of the claim being created and the circumstances justifying the claim and the debtor’s identity being disclosed to the creditor or the creditor, without gross negligence, being considered to be aware of such circumstances or identity. With the exception of claims for damages which are based on loss of life, physical injury, health hazards or the loss of freedom and claims based on the product liability act, claims for damages shall become statute-barred - with no consideration being given as to whether the creditor was aware of the circumstances and identity or, without gross negligence, should have been aware of such circumstances and identity - within five years of the end of the year in which the claim was created.
The McRent Terms and conditions apply. These are provided at the rental depot during pick-up and are published on our website. Additional price lists are published in each Rental Station.
Change of vehicle
McRent reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to substitute a comparable or superior Vehicle for the Vehicle. In that event, I shall not be liable for any increased rental or other charges save for any addition running costs pertaining to the substitute vehicle. Such substitution shall not entitle me to any refund and does not constitute a breach of this Agreement.
Number of Passengers- Load capacity
It is not allowed to use the motorhome with more persons than prescribed by law for the respective vehicle type (= specified number of seats and beds). After loading, the total weight must not exceed the permissible gross vehicle weight stated in the vehicle registration certificate.
All vehicles are non-smoking vehicles. This means that you may not smoke in any part of
the vehicle. Client will be charged with any breach of this condition.
Any costs which may be incurred by deventilation or for elimination of contamination with smoke, including lost profits resulting from temporary non-availability of the vehicle for hire owing to these circumstances,
shall also be borne by the lessee.
Pets are not allowed in the rental vehicles. Cleaning expenses caused by noncompliance with regulations must be borne by the lessee.
In every refueling and every time before you start out on a journey, please switch the gas-fuelled equipment off.
External temperatures of 0 C (32 Fahrenheit) or below might cause the pipes to freeze. Under weather conditions like these, the vehicle will have to be permanently heated.
Please observe the instructions as to the frost protection device, which protects the boiler against frost. If the vehicle is not sufficiently heated, the frost protection device discharges the water from the boiler in order to prevent the boiler walls from breaking.

Storage and forwarding of personal data
Tenant agrees to McRent storing personal data.
McRent may forward these data via the central warning ring to third parties with a justified interest if the statements made in the rental are incorrect in essential points or the rented vehicle is not returned within 24 hours of the expiry of the rental period (also extended, if need be) or if rental claims have to be made in judicial reminder proceedings or cheques presented by Tenant are not honored. In addition, the data can be forwarded to all the authorities responsible for prosecution of offences against public order and criminal offences in the event of Tenant actually behaving dishonestly or sufficient indications here for existing. This is done, for example, in the event of wrong information for the rental, presentation of forged personal documents or such reported as having been lost, failure to return the vehicle, failure to notify a technical defect, road traffic offences or similar

Motorhome International arrange the rental between the client and the rental company. when you pick up the vehicle, you must sign a rental contract provided by the rental company and subject to local laws.
