Recommended Campsites during a trip from Munich
We (a family of five: 2 adults and 3 children, ages: 10, 14, 17) retuned from an amazing 9- days trip in July, 2007. We drove an RV rented in Munich.
We recommend the following campsites:
Near Interlaken:
Camping du Lac - In Iselwalt
30 Euros per night
Engelberg:
Can be a starting point to go up the Titlis
Camping Eienwaldli Wasserfllstrasse 108 ch- 6390 Engelberg
Near Shtin Em Rhein
Wagenhausen Camping 8259–just 10 minutes away
27 Euros per night
Near Luzerne:
Camping Vierwaldstaettersee Merlischachen Luzerne
20 minutes from a lake with a great view, very close to the Transportation Museum in Luzerne.
33 Euros per night
In Zurich:
Camping Seebucht Gmbh Seestrasse 559 8038 Zurich
About 40 Euros per night
In Munich:
A relatively chip but crowded campsite. You need to pay for the shower with coins. Next to the river there are wave surfers (if you can call it by that).
Campingplatz Munchen- Thalkirchen Zentrallandstr. 49 81379 Munich
22 Euros per nights
A campsite next to Europa Park:
Operated as a parking lot. You can enter when ever you want.
8 Euros per night and 5 Euros per day
In general, the smaller campsites are more developed, more pleasant and cleaner. They are kept in better condition in Switzerland than in Germany. Arrival must be until 21:00-21:30, or else there is no more reception.
